Biography Dr Katumba N’yunyi Wambuyi
Dr Katumba N’yunyi Wambuyi, is a holder of a Medical Degree (MD-Kinshasa, DRC), a Specialist Certificate in Neurosurgery (KU-Leuven, Belgium), a Masters’ Degree in Public Health (MPH) (Free University of Brussels, Belgium) and currently enrolled in a PhD Program at UNISA – School of Environmental and Life Sciences.
His previous appointments include: A Consultant post in the Teaching Hospitals in Harare, Zimbabwe; Head of Department – Neurosurgery at Kinshasa General Hospital in Kinshasa, DRC; Deputy-Head of Surgery at Nyangagbwe Referral Hospital in Francistown, Botswana; a Senior Consultant at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital, and Steve Biko Academic Hospital, in Pretoria, South Africa; and an Independent Consultant in The Community Engagement Programs at the University of South Africa in Johannesburg.
He is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Innovation & Research in Health Sciences and Biotechnology; a Technical Adviser at KROM Research Consultancy CC, under which he mentors postgraduate Students having, so far, supervised 2 PhD, 35 Master’s and 2 Honours students in diverse fields while conducting tutorials on Research Methodology and Data dissemination.
